Nope, Run Clubs Don't Have to be Serious
The other day, I heard the podcaster Chris Williamson call run clubs “dating apps in disguise.”
Others say run clubs aren't serious or that they're too crowded.
Maybe they’re right. Every Friday, I run a few slow miles with my best friends at a run club, and then we grab a coffee.
It's not serious at all.
We chat, we joke, and we have fun for an hour.
That's what running hardos miss:
Fun :)
Runners worry so much about going the extra mile that they forget what it's supposed to be about.
Fitness is leisure.
Something you do in your off hours to forget about work and everything that’s going on in the world.
So relax.
Run clubs are supposed to be fun.
